Oct. 28-31 Georgia Farm Life.

It’s been a while since I sat in the cab of a pick-up truck, feeling the sweet fertilizer air running against my cheek. I had an opportunity to visit an old college friend in Georgia for a few days and I took it!

Take a look at some cute ol’ farm animals!

When your friend works on a farm, you work on the farm.

I left my homestead in Tennessee to visit my friend Madison in Georgia. She works right outside of Atlanta and I gotta be honest, I don’t know what the town is called. It’s so close to three different towns, that we cross into all three just to get to the local Chick-Fil-a.

We met on a study abroad trip to Argentina in 2012, where she quickly scooped me up and raised me under her very extroverted wings. We were both Ag students back in the day, so it comes to no surprise that one of us actually ended up living that #farmlife.

She couldn’t get off work to have a vaca with me, so I just turned up and helped whenever I could, even if that meant making Chick-fil-a runs and picking up feed for the farm. A farm runner would be my perfect job, by the way. I love the feel of driving a bog ol’ truck (especially with a bony bat hanging in the front) down those beautiful country roads.

Mads has recently acquired a new steed that she plans on training up for barrel racing 🙂 she’s the cutest! and the smartest horse I’ve ever met.

I can’t wait to bring my beau down to meet my friend, see her baby, and breathe that fresh manure air.

Hope you enjoyed that little snippet of my life. I’m planning on doing some more of these in the future as a kind of living diary.

Have you every been to Georgia or the South? What was your favorite city?
